Rental conditions

ATTENTION! Please read the Shipping/Pickup/Delivery instructions before choosing a delivery option.

ATTENTION! Any discount codes must be used at the time of booking and cannot be used afterwards.

One booking is made per calendar day (not tents and sleeping bags which are booked per day). The booking is valid from the morning of the date you have chosen as the start date until the evening of the date you have chosen as the end date. ATTENTION! it is not possible to pick up the booking the day/evening before your booking takes effect. The booking must then be returned no later than 18:00 if no other agreement has been reached with Outdoor Buddies in advance. When picking up/returning at one of our drop-off points, the same applies as above, but that then the opening hours of the drop-off point apply. What happens when this is not met can be read in rental rule § 4.

§ 1. As a lessee, you are responsible for the equipment you rent from us during the entire rental period. It is important that you check that the booking and equipment are complete when you pick them up.

§ 2. In the event of damage or loss of any product during the rental period, the lessee will be charged repair costs as well as any reduction in value or the purchase of a similar/equivalent product. Unreturned product or that the product has been replaced with a similar product is equated with theft and reported to the police. Products that have broken during the rental period but where the renter does not notify Outdoor Buddies of this, means that the renter will be charged the full value of the product.
ATTENTION! Some equipment, such as lightweight equipment, requires more knowledge to use correctly. If the product breaks due to incorrect or careless use, you as the lessee are liable for compensation for the product.

§ 3. Outdoor Buddies AB owns the products. The lessee may not lend, sell, pledge, rent or transfer the products without the written consent of Outdoor Buddies

§ 4. Extension of the rental period must be approved by Outdoor Buddies before the end of the regular rental period. Otherwise, SEK 400 will be charged as a late fee, in addition to the regular rental cost for the other days. The same applies when the product is not returned to Outdoor Buddies directly at the end of the rental period.

§ 5. The rental cost is always paid when booking/collection. As long as no other agreement is reached. The rental cost is charged to the lessee from the beginning of the day. No booking is valid until payment has been received, as long as no other agreement is reached.

§ 6. Damage, modification or removal of markings or other damage to the products is not permitted and will entail cleaning costs or the purchase of a similar/equivalent product.

§ 7. Outdoor Buddies is responsible for the products being in working order. In the event of a fault with the products or a lack of product, this must be reported to Outdoor Buddies as soon as possible. ATTENTION! It is important that you check the equipment and that everything is included immediately, if this is the case you collect the booking via one of our agents or have it sent to you. So that we have the opportunity to solve it immediately. We do not pay out any compensation or similar compensation if this has not been reported immediately.

§ 8. The products are considered to be susceptible to theft. In the event of theft, the tenant is obliged to file a police report and notify Outdoor Buddies. The lessee will be charged the full value of the product.

§ 9. The products are not insured through Outdoor Buddies. The lessee is responsible for having private/home insurance that covers all eventualities.

§ 10. Valid identification (driver's license/passport/equivalent) is a requirement when renting.

§ 11. The lessee and Outdoor Buddies must jointly check the products for known and unknown defects so that no ambiguities arise upon return.

§ 12. The lessee is responsible for the products being used only in the manner intended for them.

§ 13. For deliveries booked at least 7 weekdays/over SEK 1000 (10 weekdays for skis/sledges) before the start, shipping is free within Sweden (does not apply to skis/mountain sledges, SEK 699). For bookings received 6-3 weekdays before, the shipping cost is SEK 349. If we deliver to an address other than your own residential address, you as the lessee are responsible for the recipient being able to redeem the delivery and are aware that delivery will take place to this address. If the shipment is not collected, SEK 400 will be charged.
Please note that if you want to book products for different time periods, you need to make a booking per time period.

§ 14. You as a lessee have the right to cancel your order within 14 days from the time you placed your booking, the entire amount will be refunded.

Already collected, delivered (we deliver 1-3 days before the start of the booking) or sent booking (we send 7-10 days before the start of the booking) are not refunded.
In case of cancellation up to and including three days before the start of the rental period, the entire rental amount is refunded except for the first day's rent (for bed linen, the entire rental amount is refunded except SEK 49/set), regardless of the reason. However, you have the option to rebook your reservation to a later date within 30 days of the original rental date free of charge and subject to availability. Free rebooking can only be renewed once per booking. If your booking has been sent, it is considered that you have started using the products and cancellation is then not possible.
We do not refund if the products are returned before the end of the rental period or if the rental period is not to be used in full.

§ 15. Change of size? It is of course fine to change the size depending on availability when you pick up your reservation. Are you unsure which size to order? Read through and look at our different size guides (Important to remember that these are general). If it still feels uncertain, you are always welcome to contact us and we will try to help you.
If you pick up your booking at one of our drop-off locations and the size feels wrong, you must contact us directly and we will try to help resolve it so that you get the right size. ATTENTION! We do not issue refunds unless you have spoken to us first so that we can help resolve the issue. Either by phone or email (we must have replied). If you make the choice to solve it yourself without having been in contact with us. Isn't it something that we can refund afterwards.
Have we sent you the booking? If you collect your booking from a postal agent and need to change the size, please contact us and we will try to send the correct size as soon as possible. Note that shipping for changing sizes is extra. The price is currently SEK 99
Right of withdrawal?
You, as a renter, have the right to cancel your order within 14 days from the time you made your reservation.

§ 16. The lessee is responsible for having the knowledge required to handle the products and stay in the environments for which the products are made. The right product does not replace judgment and risk awareness.

§ 17. The rental agreement is valid regardless of the weather.

§ 18. Discount codes are only valid at the time of booking. Retrospective crediting does not take place.

§ 19. All our prices are inclusive of VAT, unless otherwise stated.

§ 20. Touring skis must be returned without an attachment wall on the surface, if this is not done the renter will be charged SEK 400 for cleaning. If the surface has been roughened in order for the attachment wall to attach, the renter will be charged for the corresponding new ski as it is deemed unusable in Outdoor Buddies' normal operations.

§ 21. When renting a sleeping bag and you as a tenant do not use the supplied silk sheet, there is an extra cost of SEK 350. As the sleeping bag must be washed after the rental period. No silk sheets are sent during this period with the bookings.

§ 22. We give a discount on up to 7 days' rent if you want to buy the product. ATTENTION! applies subject to availability, we make no guarantee that we can deliver the goods. Applies only to regular price and cannot be combined with other discounts and offers. For longer rental periods, a separate price will be given if the item is purchased separately. It is not possible to credit already paid rental periods in order to get a lower price. Please note that this is not an installment service. Any shipping or delivery fee cannot be credited.

§ 23. The renter is responsible for contacting Outdoor Buddies when the return slip is missing in order to be able to return the goods in time at the end of the rental period. In case of delayed return, continued daily rent + SEK 400 in fees will be charged until the item is returned to the agent.

§ 24. In order to be able to offer you Klarna's payment methods, we may share your personal data in the form of contact details and order information with Klarna at checkout, so that Klarna can assess whether you can choose the payment methods, as well as to adapt them for you. Your personal data that is shared is processed according to Klarna's own data protection information.

§ 25. The lessee is responsible for notifying Outdoor Buddies AB of the correct information for setting up skis and other safety equipment. If you do not enter correct information or completely omit this information, Outdoor Buddies AB disclaims all responsibility for the equipment being set up correctly.
